Scream
This piece is extremely emotional for me. This was created in 3 different sittings. The background was literally painted by hand. During an emotional crash-out I dumped tons of paint and glitter onto a blank canvas and finger painted and cried until I felt better. The second iteration was during a period of insecurities where I wrote out what I was feeling and scribbled everything out, again, until I felt better. The final session was one of my first real attempts to paint anatomy and while it’s very much not perfect, it does get the point across pretty damn well. Overall this piece was extremely cathartic to paint and I’ve had a few friends say it helps depict things they have struggled to voice, so that’s an added bonus.
